# Blood Arrow scaling source audit — 2026-10-04
## Result
The current Chronicles of Arcadia sources do not establish Blood Arrow's
damage bonus at skill level 80. Keep the imported 10% modifier as the existing
simulator value until current rank data or an explicit formula is available.
Do not derive the cap-80 value from the published level-105 tooltip.
## Current source evidence
- [Current Scout/Rogue skill list](https://chroniclesofarcadia.com/wiki/skills/list/2-3?locale=en)
identifies Scout General Blood Arrow as skill `490434`. Its tooltip shows
`+105`, says the skill's maximum level is 105, and reports a 104.5% ranged
damage increase at that rank. It also describes the 2% HP ranged-attack cost
and 10-second cooldown after deactivation.
- [Current Knight/Scout skill list](https://chroniclesofarcadia.com/wiki/skills/list/6-2?locale=en)
identifies Blood Arrow as the distinct skill `499924`. Its `+105` tooltip
likewise reports 104.5% ranged damage and a maximum skill level of 105; it
additionally reports 2% HP and 1% MP per offensive ranged-weapon skill, +5%
Light Damage, and +15% received healing.
These current pages provide one numeric endpoint per identity: skill level 105.
They expose no lower-rank points, rank table, progression formula, API payload,
or raw current CoA source record. The game's level-80 character cap does not
identify what Blood Arrow value belongs at that cap. One level-105 endpoint
cannot establish a level-80 value or curve.
## Local RuneWaker boundary
The checked-in `src/game/romPlayerCatalog.generated.json` maps the imported
Scout General row `490434` to `rom-scout-general-4`. It contains one rank,
learned at character level 12. Its source component `500871` has ability
modifier type 52 (`ranged-damage`) with value 10. The row also retains the old
30-second duration and 3% per-second HP loss. The exporter
`scripts/runewaker-pipeline/export-player-catalog.mjs` resolves these
`MagicCollect` / `MagicObject` records from the local RuneWaker client
snapshot. This is evidence for the legacy imported 10% value and its stale
behavior, not a current CoA lower-rank curve.
Current verified pair mapping is owner-scoped in code: Scout/Rogue uses CoA
source skill `490434`; Knight/Scout uses CoA source skill `499924`, which the
local imported row represents as `490434`. Other owners retain the local
legacy import. Since no current CoA level-80 curve is available, this audit
does not change the catalog's existing 10% ranged-damage modifier for any
owner.
## Evidence still needed
To replace the retained value safely, obtain at least one independently
verifiable current CoA rank point at or below level 80 plus enough matching
rank points or an explicit formula to determine the progression. The evidence
must distinguish Scout/Rogue `490434` from Knight/Scout `499924`, or explicitly
show that their rank curves are shared. A current raw source/API record is
preferred; historical RuneWaker data and the level-105 tooltip alone are
insufficient.

The alternate `/en/wiki/...` path may fail and is not the citation used here.
