Native RoM level-one boss pacing — 2026-10-03
Adjustment
The native RoM health policy now uses a 0.20 boss-health scale at character level 1, down from 0.30. The level-1 trash scale remains 0.40. Every health anchor at level 10 and above is unchanged, as are all nativeDamageBudgetScale anchors. The level-1 boss value interpolates linearly to the existing level-10 boss value, so native bosses at levels 2–9 also receive the corresponding smooth interpolation. This is a simulator health budget for the targeted five-build cohort, not a RuneWaker source monster-health formula.
The adjustment followed source recovery and the separately implemented level-one Priest mana reserve. With the previous 0.30 boss value, the level-one native Knight diagnostic still ended with actor deaths; the reported pull had 391.2 incoming damage and 56 healing. The authorized retune changed only the level-one boss-health anchor.
Five-build result
The unchanged 80-pull native rotation diagnostic passed at the 0.20 anchor. It covers each of the five identities as the active character and four native companions against Barren Caves trash and Anglo at levels 1, 10, 30, 60, 65, 66, 79, and 80. All 80 targets died; every player survived, no companion died, every native combatant was supported, and there were no invalid cast failures. This is a fixed-position simulator diagnostic, not scene navigation or a readiness promotion.
The pair names below identify each configured build; at level 1, secondary classes are inactive, so these five samples all use pre-secondary snapshots. They all used the same 1,848-HP budget and had no player or companion deaths:
| Active build | Clear after first party hit | Player HP remaining |
|---|---|---|
| Knight/Scout | 42.1s | 95.6 |
| Priest/Knight | 34.1s | 152.4 |
| Rogue/Warrior | 36.9s | 129.6 |
| Scout/Rogue | 39.7s | 120.4 |
| Mage/Warlock | 34.1s | 142 |
The complete generated diagnostic is artifacts/rom-five-native-rotation/report.json. romNativeDungeonPacing.test.ts now locks the level-one Anglo value at 1,848, verifies that level-one native trash remains at the unchanged 0.40 ratio, and checks the unchanged damage budget. The level-80 native health plateau/cap assertion remains exact and unchanged.
Interpolation and boundaries
The new level-1 boss anchor changes the interpolated native level-8 Stockades regression from 8,330.293333 to 7,983.197778. Its expectation was updated to the computed interpolation; the native level-80 Stockades health remains 1,312,656 with damage-budget scale 40. The legacy WoW-stat RoM pacing curve and its mixed-mode harness are unchanged.
No trash-health anchor, level-10-or-higher health anchor, native damage-budget anchor, authored damage multiplier, source enemy damage, equipment, loot, level cap, actor mode, or Ready-party policy changed. This calibration does not claim a complete early-level balance pass or readiness status.
Validation
Focused verification passed romNativeDungeonPacing.test.ts and the unchanged romFiveNativeRotation.integration.test.ts: 6 tests total, including 80 pulls. The level-one five-build results and full diagnostic metadata are archived in artifacts/rom-five-native-rotation/report.json. The post-recovery legacy boss pacing suite passed 18/18 tests; its 83-sample report is archived at artifacts/rom-enemy-followup/after-compatibility-pacing-post-recovery.json.
