Dark Energy Strike runtime note
Dark Energy Strike (498599) is implemented for the exact RuneWaker Champion/Warlock pair. The generated catalog identifies it as a level-30 skill, key item 545955, with prerequisite 497958 and ordered components 621305, 621306, and 621307. Rune Siphon (498595), the reset target, is the same pair at level 20, key item 545953, prerequisite 497958. Runtime requires the matching learned Rune Siphon row before attempting its reset.
The source collection orders a physical packet (621305), a Darkness packet (621306), then a 15% random group containing the Rune Siphon reset handler (621307). The runtime retains the source's group boundary: group 0 must produce surviving, positive effective HP damage for the target to receive group 1 and for the cast-level reset roll to qualify. A failed Darkness packet does not undo that eligibility. A group-0 kill skips the later target packet but still qualifies the cast-level reset roll. The roll is made once per single-target cast and resets only the owner's Rune Siphon cooldown; companion execution updates both party and combat-actor cooldown mirrors.
The 621306 source row declares MagicType 5 (Darkness), but the generic local component translator classifies it as physical when EffectType is 1. The exact 498599 override corrects only this cast's ordered damage schools to physical then shadow while preserving the existing source-derived packet formulas and level scaling.
The source engine treats a nonzero Parry result as surviving group 0. The pure gate helper preserves that rule, and its test covers a positive-damage parry. The live combat result currently represents parry as a zero-damage, not-landed outcome, so player and companion integration cannot currently produce that eligible parry case. Live eligibility uses positive effective HP damage after absorbs; a fully absorbed packet, miss, dodge, block, or zero result does not unlock the Darkness packet or reset roll. No synthetic absorb event was added.
Focused regressions cover ordered packet schools, physical failure and full absorb, physical kill, Darkness failure after a valid physical packet, the 15% threshold, exact class/ability/learned gates, and player/companion cooldown ownership. The catalog's existing learner checks skill level/rank but does not enforce source prerequisites; that is a general teaching-system boundary and was not changed here.
