KeelrLeek 9f0601027c android: the handoff — the pending rounds, the pipeline, and what is unverified
Everything written this session that has not been through the device: rounds 43
to 48 (each patch adversarially verified, 43's transient-notice expectation
fixed), a partial round 49, the pipeline scripts, the Android Auto design and
the icon comparison mock. Also the two harness changes that were never A/B'd —
adaptive waits, which may only shorten a declared wait and never lengthen it,
and a ship that runs the mock walk and the deploy at the same time. The A/B and
its 255-step baseline are in handoff/tools; main stays at what the phone has
actually walked.

# Which build. The default is exactly what this script has always done, and
# has to stay that way: deploy.sh calls it with no argument every twenty
# minutes, and ship.sh calls deploy.sh. `--release` (or SS_ANDROID_RELEASE=1)
# is the other path, and as of this round nobody has run it — see ANDROID.md

# --features is repeatable and cargo unions them, so custom-protocol on
# the cargo line below is kept. devtools is not a nicety: wry compiles the
# setWebContentsDebuggingEnabled call only under
# cfg(any(debug_assertions, feature = "devtools")), so a plain release APK
# opens no webview_devtools_remote socket and `smoke.mjs --phone` cannot
# attach to the one build that most needs walking. R8 never sees it.
