Warlock/Priest Soul Enlightenment (498649)

Recommendation

Implemented as a source-backed CoA correction. CoA publishes the skill under the same ID, name, class pair, and elite level as the RuneWaker row, with explicit cost, range, area, duration, and buff values. The existing simulator already translates this row into a party aura, so the stale payload was replaced through the RoM catalog/Warlock override layer without adding another combat-event mechanic.

Full CoA parity has one architecture gap: the source restricts use to the Willpower Construct Caster state, while the simulator currently tags Willpower Blade but has no corresponding Construct-state eligibility check. The catalog tooltip preserves the source requirement, but casts are not gated on that state. Do not treat the restriction as enforced until that state is represented in the cast-validation path.

Current Chronicles of Arcadia behavior

The current Warlock/Priest skill list gives Soul Enlightenment as skill 498649, Warlock/Priest level 40, with a maximum skill level of 105. At +105 it costs 2 Psi, has range 100 and radius 75, is instant, and grants the caster and friendly raid members Soul Enlightenment for 30 seconds. The aura increases damage dealt by 5.7% and received healing by 17.1%. The page says the skill can only be used while the caster is in the Willpower Construct Caster state.

The 10.2.1.1000–1261 patch notes record the received-healing value as 17% at skill level 104. That is consistent with the current page's 17.1% at +105; use the current +105 row for the simulator's published value.

Local RuneWaker row and mismatch

The generated local row rom-warlock-rom-priest-elite-40 has the same source ID 498649, name, pair, and level. Its source component 621328 instead supplies +10% maximum HP and +6% healing received for 10 seconds. Those local component values do not match current CoA and are replaced only for this exact Warlock-primary/Priest-secondary skill.

The local range is 10 project units, consistent with CoA range 100 under the simulator's established 10:1 range conversion. The local row has no cost and no radius. The current CoA cost is explicit (2 Psi); current CoA radius 75 converts to 7.5 project units. The generic damage-dealt and healing-taken modifiers, plus the existing party-aura radius filters, support the CoA payload without a new combat hook. Player casts use the ability's circle targeting radius; companion casts use the aura effect's radius. Both paths include the caster and only apply to living party members inside the radius.

Implemented behavior and explicit simulator choices

  • For source ID 498649 on the exact Warlock/Priest pair, replace the local +10% maximum-HP/+6% received-healing/10-second aura with +5.7% damage dealt, +17.1% received healing, and a 30-second duration. Maximum HP is no longer modified.
  • Include the caster and living modeled party members. CoA says “friendly raid members”; the simulator only represents its current party roster, not a separate raid roster.
  • Apply the +105 values to the one local elite unlock row. The project has no per-skill training-level state with which to derive lower values.
  • Use a 7.5-unit caster-centered radius from CoA's 75 range and the established 10:1 conversion. The simulator's existing area-aura path also requires line of sight; CoA does not state a line-of-sight rule, so this remains the simulator's normal targeting policy.
  • Preserve the ordinary aura recast behavior. CoA gives no stacking or refresh rule beyond the 30-second effect duration.
  • Keep the 2-Psi cost because CoA states it explicitly and the simulator supports Psi. Do not reuse the empty local cost list.
  • Keep the Willpower Construct Caster restriction documented but unenforced until the Construct state can be checked in the ability cast-validation path. A future state-gating change must also verify that entering/leaving Construct updates the tag consistently for player and companion Warlocks.

Validation

npx vitest run src/game/romWarlockPriestSoulEnlightenment.catalog.test.ts src/game/romWarlockPriestSoulEnlightenment.integration.test.ts passes 4 tests. The catalog suite checks exact pair/ID scoping, +105 description and cost, aura values, obsolete maximum-HP effect removal, and radius metadata. Player integration pays 2 Psi, confirms the caster and an ally exactly 7.5 units away receive the 30-second aura, excludes an ally at 7.51 units, and resolves 1,000 damage/healing to 1,057/1,171. Companion integration verifies the existing party-cast path applies that same area aura and modifiers without shared combat-runtime edits. These tests do not assert or imply enforcement of the Willpower Construct state requirement.

Regression run: romWarlockRuntime.test.ts passes 16 tests. romAbilityCatalogSemantics.test.ts has one unrelated fixed-size assertion failure in the current shared worktree: it expects 1,864 catalog rows and sees 1,869, matching five additional entries being added elsewhere in the active catalog work. The Soul Enlightenment correction does not add or remove a catalog row.
